Accessibility

The Berg.Genuss.Hotel Augarten endeavors to make its website accessible in accordance with legal requirements. This declaration refers to the website www.augarten.net – Owner: Helga & Stefan Schöpf.

Our accessibility measures are based on the Austrian Accessibility Act (BaFG, published in the Federal Law Gazette BGBl. I No. 76/2023 of July 19, 2023) and the EU Directive “Directive (EU) 2019/882 on accessibility requirements for products and services”, which came into force on June 28, 2025.

Status of compatibility with the requirements

The applicable accessibility requirements result from the above-mentioned BaFG and the EU Directive. Compliance with these requirements was assessed on 18.06.2025 as part of an internal audit.
It was found that our website largely complies with the above-mentioned required standards.

Non-accessible content

In certain areas, complete accessibility could not be implemented – for example with the color contrasts. Alternative solutions were implemented here to enable the most accessible user experience possible. These include a contrast switcher.

The following points have been implemented to make our website barrier-free for you:

Color contrasts:

The color contrasts of the website do not meet all accessibility requirements. For better readability, there is a light gray square with a symbol consisting of two halves of a circle on the left-hand side of the page. Clicking on it displays the texts in high-contrast.

Font sizes:

If the font on your screen appears too small, you can also click on the light gray symbol with the label “TT” on the left-hand side – this will enlarge the fonts.

Heading structure:

Some headings are not correctly recognized by accessibility tests. This is due to the technical structure of the page. Nevertheless, the Hx structure has been implemented correctly, which means that screen readers can recognize all headings without any problems.

Buttons, links and control elements:

Our buttons are designed to be recognized by screen readers. They meet the prescribed minimum size and can also be controlled using the keyboard (via the tab key) if required.
For technical reasons, it is unfortunately not possible to assign separate link titles for continuous text links.

This content does not fall within the scope of the applicable legislation

Our website also contains content and documents from external providers. We cannot make any statement about this third-party content with regard to accessibility in accordance with the Accessibility Act and the EU Directive. Third-party content is therefore excluded from the legal requirements of the Accessibility Act.
In addition, older contributions and files are available on the website that were posted online before 28.06.2025. These also do not fall under the applicable accessibility regulations, which is why no revision is currently planned.
